ESOL with Mrs. Malin

I have always enjoyed learning and teaching languages. My life, education and career revolve around this passion. My native language is Ukrainian, but I also speak Russian and studied other languages. I am currently learning Spanish making slow but steady progress with the help of my students:)

After earning a BA from Chernivtsi National University in Ukraine, I taught English as a Foreign Language at the Center for Foreign Languages while working on my Master's in Foreign Languages, Literatures and Linguistics. I stayed at my Alma Mater for 8 more years to teach different aspects of English and translation.

In the USA, I became affiliated with the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, completed the Specialist Degree program in Advanced Educational Studies with Concentration in ESOL at Augusta University and earned the Dyslexia Endorsement.

It is my 6th happy year at the Columbia County SD and SCE, and there is no place I would rather be than here, helping your children develop the English language skills! I teach ESOL in grades K-5 at SCE and the ESOL Endorsement program to the CCSD teachers.

I am excited about this school year and can't wait to see everyone!!!
